Butch Cassidy's first major robbery was The Robbery of San Miguel Valley Bank in Telluride, Colorado on June 24, 1889. This robbery marked the beginning of his soon to come profession as an outlaw. At around noon Cassidy, Matt Warner, and Tom McCarty robbed the bank and rode off with about $20,000.
